Who are we?

We are…

… two travel-loving amateur photographers from Germany.

Japan has fascinated and amazed us since we first went there in 2010. On our travels in the Land of the Rising Sun, we’ve seen a lot and taken thousands of photos.

This photo blog serves as a reminder of our trips. But we’re also happy to be able to share these experiences with you. And maybe we can infect one or two of you with Japan fever…

Richard

… runs this travel blog and writes the texts.

He’s been an amateur photographer for 30 years. As a tech guy, he’s got a knack for tricky photos in bad lighting conditions.

He’s been interested in Japan and its culture for almost as long. For the past few years, he’s been learning a bit of Japanese whenever he finds the time for it.

Vivi

… is the organisational talent. Whether it’s the location, itinerary or luggage, she leaves nothing to chance.

She’s been an amateur photographer for 30 years and has an eye for a good subject. Even the tiniest details don’t escape her notice.

Chīko

… is our local friend.

She patiently answers our many questions about her country, gives valuable insider tips, and has accompanied us on quite a few spontaneous hikes.
